A Welcome from the Head of Lower School
At Reigate St Mary’s, we know that a child’s experiences in their first five years of life are of huge importance. During this time, children’s brains are developing faster than at any other point in their lives and they are like sponges, absorbing information at an astonishing rate. Nursery years really do lay the foundations for everything else that follows. If a child feels happy and secure, they will achieve amazing things and so our fantastic team of staff focus on this, developing strong relationships with every individual in their care.
The children’s days are filled with exciting adventures designed to harness their natural curiosity and make them enthusiastic learners, eager to come to school. Our wonderful classrooms and dedicated Nursery playgrounds, along with a whole 15 acres of trim trails and nature areas, provide endless hours of fun and enjoyment as well as excellent learning opportunities.
Our nursery classes are an integral part of the junior school which brings with it access to facilities galore, specialist teaching and excellent wraparound care. It also means the children have the seamless transition to Reception that comes from a joined-up curriculum spanning ages 2 to 11, familiarity with routines, staff and buildings and a sense of already belonging to the wider school community.

Fees
Termly Tuition Fees for the academic year 2024-25
Green Shoots (2 ½ years +): Minimum 3 mornings
£1,395 per term
Kindergarten (the pre-school year): Minimum 5 Mornings
£2,325 per term
Children can attend Green Shoots and Kindergarten for additional sessions, and most do.
Reigate St Mary’s accepts the Surrey County Council Early Years Funding (15 hours) for children between their 3rd and 5th birthdays (available from the term after they turn 3 up to and including the term in which they turn 5). Children can attend Green Shoots for additional sessions and many do.
