When families visit Reigate St Mary’s (RSM), they often comment on the school’s warm and friendly atmosphere and the happiness of the children. School days here are full of exciting activities, both inside the classrooms and outside in our extensive grounds – there is always something imaginative and fun happening.

Due to demand, we are adding an additional class to Year 3 in September 2024.  We periodically add an additional class at this stage and our experience shows that children joining at 7 years plus, into expanded year groups, settle quickly and do extremely well.

Academic outcomes here are excellent with typically 80 percent of children transferring to our senior school, Reigate Grammar School, without the need to sit the entrance exam (instead, their progress is closely tracked). This means that we can concentrate on giving the children an all-round and exciting education rather than focusing on tests. We also have a fantastic 11 plus programme for children wishing to transfer to other senior schools.

More importantly, we know that children thrive within our holistic and well-rounded education programme. Employers need people with integrity who work effectively in teams, have excellent communication skills and the ability to think creatively and independently. We have an all-encompassing Education for Social Responsibility (ESR) programme which aims to develop these essential character traits that help children to grow into adults who can successfully navigate a world where sustainability and protection of the planet are fundamental to the wellbeing of society. ESR is woven into all areas of the RSM curriculum giving children the confidence to become game changers and change makers of the future.
